Carmel Center · Haifa
Privacy in a small house.
How a 48-seat listening bar on HaNassi Avenue handles names, phone numbers, cookies, and the door list — under Israeli law, written for hospitality, not for a shop.
Controller
Who holds the door list.
Haifa Vinyl Loft (“the Loft”, “we”) is the data controller for information collected through haifavinyl.pro, by telephone at +972 4 837 2290, and at the physical door. The house is a seated listening bar and small jazz room at 41 HaNassi Avenue, Carmel Center, Haifa 3464312.
Staff access is limited to the door, the duty manager, and the bookkeeper as needed for the evening list and invoices. A trio’s contractor may see a headcount, not your email. This note is written for a hospitality venue with forty-eight reserved chairs. It is not a generic retail policy and it is not legal advice.
Reservations data
What a listening bar needs in order to seat you.
Hospitality is not anonymous when forty-eight chairs are reserved by name. We collect only what the door needs to greet you, to avoid overbooking, and to keep a dark room with valuable playback equipment reasonably safe.
- Inquiry and booking — name, email, phone, preferred date, party size, night type, and free-text notes (window booth, accessibility, late arrival). Lawful basis: steps toward a seating arrangement and our legitimate interest in running a small room without two parties in booth six.
- Door list on the night — first names and table numbers on paper or a local tablet. Used to release no-shows after fifteen minutes. Not posted on social media, not read aloud across a playing side.
- Service notes — dietary or mobility details you volunteer. Used for that visit unless you ask us to remember them for a later Sunday talk.
- Entrance cameras — limited views of the door, the bar till, and the coat rail. They do not point at booths to record conversation. Typical hold is up to 14 days unless an incident is under review.
- Correspondence — emails to door@haifavinyl.pro and ordinary telephone logs. The website form does not take card numbers; if you pay at the house, the terminal handles the card, not this site.
We do not sell guest lists. We do not build lookalike audiences from who sat in booth six. We do not publish trio-night photographs of guests without a separate, specific consent.
Cookies
A preference card, not a tracking floor.
The floating notice on each page records your choice in the browser’s local storage under a key used only by this site. That is a functional preference: it remembers that you closed the card so the notice does not return on every visit to the program or the door form.
We do not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or third-party music players on haifavinyl.pro. Removing site data in your browser clears the preference and the notice will return. Analytics, if introduced later, would be described here before they are switched on. We do not set cookies to score how long you sat through a side.
Israel PPL rights
Your rights under the Protection of Privacy Law.
We process personal data in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, and the Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777–2017. Where a database of guest reservations is of a kind that requires registration with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, we treat that register as a hospitality booking file, not a marketing warehouse.
You may ask what we hold about a booking, ask us to correct a name or phone number, and ask us to delete reservation notes that are no longer needed for the visit or for a legal hold. We will not invent a reason to keep a Sunday-talk inquiry once the night has passed and bookkeeping no longer needs the thread.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also honour the substance of the GDPR and UK GDPR — purpose, lawful basis, minimisation, storage limits, and rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, and objection — insofar as they do not conflict with Israeli record-keeping duties for a licensed venue that serves alcohol. You may complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority; European residents may also contact their local supervisory authority. We would rather fix a door-list error directly.
Retention
How long a name stays after the last side.
Inquiry emails and reservation notes are kept for up to twenty-four months so we can reconstruct a disputed booking or a lost-and-found trail — coats on the rail, a forgotten sleeve left after a talk. Door lists from a given night are destroyed or overwritten within thirty days unless an incident requires a longer hold.
Camera footage follows the short cycle above. Accounting records that happen to contain a guest name on an invoice follow Israeli bookkeeping retention, not a marketing calendar. We do not keep “engagement” scores. We do not transfer guest lists to overseas marketers. If email hosting stores a copy outside Israel, we treat that as a processor relationship and keep the content to booking correspondence.
Children: this is an evening listening bar with alcohol service. We do not target the website at minors. A family at a Sunday sleeve talk should book in an adult’s name.
Contact
Write “Privacy” and enough to find the night.
To exercise a right, email door@haifavinyl.pro with the subject line “Privacy” and the date or name on the booking — not a request to search every evening since 2018. You may also call +972 4 837 2290 during opening hours, or write to Haifa Vinyl Loft, 41 HaNassi Avenue, Carmel Center, Haifa 3464312.
If the house adds an online deposit, a newsletter, or cameras in a new position, this page will change on the date shown above. Printed copies are available at the door on request. We would rather you read them between sides than during one.
